Giant Bats

So I spent the evening reading out on my balcony. I watched a thunderstorm roll through... amazing. Anyway so I'm out there reading and one of my friends spots this giant bat hanging from one of the trees next to the balcony. He was just munching on some berries, hanging upside down. It had to have had a wingspan of 2 feet. That's not an exaggeration either. He was HUGE! Just thought I would share my newest encounter with Australian wildlife, they don't make them like this at home that's for sure!

Hi Molly,
I'm so jealous of your adventures and hope you'll continue to post and put up *lots* of pix! I want to see the big bat, and a joey, and everything else (including, of course, the pink polka-dot toga!). Have you figured out how to tie your toga yet?

Sounds freaking awesome, and great pic of the beach (previous posting). I'm new to this thing, but hopefully will receive email alerts upon new postings. Lastly, may I suggest changing your border from pink to another color? It makes me stick out even more when reading this stuff at work...haha

Hey the bat story is awesome, while you are on your adventure your parents invaded Florida, trust me when I say they "invaded". I'll send you a couple pics, send me your email adress. Be talking with you soon, enjoy!

I tried to get a picture of the bat, but I couldn't get the angle right and then he flew away. I'm still working on tying my toga, I'll post pictures of that later. Ben I tried to change the color yesterday actually, but I couldn't figure it out. Your boss should know by now that you don't actually do work, don't you think? Mr. Parker, my e-mail address is msalt@smcvt.edu I would love to see pictures of Florida, it sounds like you guys had a blast!
